New York/ New Jersey - Part 2

We were very excited to get to tour New York during the day and with everyone! We took a train from New Jersey to New York. It was Kaede's first train ride and he had fun...after he got over being startled from a few trains that flew by. He had so much fun on the train and was passed back and forth with family to keep him entertained. Our first stop was Yankee stadium even though they were closed.

Macy's

Time Square at night was so fun...it was about 10pm if not later and was packed with people!!!

Kaede made time for a short nap...until the subway woke him.
Although we didn't go to the top of The Empire State building, it was very beautiful inside.

I let Kaede out of the stroller for 30 seconds and he was happy to be free from the stroller and carrier but thought he could run around...wrong!

The next day we spent the WHOLE day in New York and started off with a ferry ride.

It was so cool to see the statue of liberty in person.

The boat ride was so calm that it put Kaede to sleep. After the ferry we headed to Tony's cousins' restaurant so Kaede had his first taxi ride (not so much fun with no carseat) Kaede thought it was funny to try and climb thru the hole between the driver and backseat.

After lunch some of Tony's family showed us around Little Italy, China town, and Soho.

We found the Dash store!

Kaede figured out by throwing his crackers birds would come visit..before we knew it we had a whole family of birds next to us.

The top of Rockefeller Center was very cool.

Kaede's first subway ride.

Before we left New York we stopped by Ground Zero. All we could see was this new building that they were building, everything else was fenced off.

New York was an amazing experience, and Tony's family is awesome! I am so glad I had the opportunity to meet everyone and get to take a vacation away from Texas for a bit!
