Stroller Strides Easter Egg Hunt!

Kaede got a chance to experience another Easter egg hunt!! After Stroller Strides on the Friday before Easter we had an egg hunt! Kaede was not interested at all...he remembered there was good stuff inside the eggs, so once he picked up one and opened it I had to bribe him to try and get a few more!
He found a few eggs with jelly beans and he was quite content sitting all by himself to chow down.

However he did pick up an egg with confetti and squeezed a little too hard! He wasn't sure about it but quickly moved on to opening the rest of his eggs!

Playdate Easter Party!

Although it was a week early, Kaede's playgroup had an Easter party! So I put my creative thinking hat on and made Easter cupcake baskets!! They were extremely messy to make but fun!! Everything was edible!! They even make edible Easter grass now!
Grammy came over to help and shared the extra cupcake with Kaede!!

The next day it was party time!! Last year Kaede wasn't old enough to even understand Easter, so he wasn't sure about picking up eggs off the ground...until he realized that there is good stuff in the middle!! After picking up 3 eggs Kaede was over it!

He found marshmellows!! Something he had never had before!

And this is Kaede with too many jelly beans and marshmellows!! It was a great party!!

San Antonio!!

I got Tony Spurs vs. Celtics tickets for Christmas seeing as the Celtics are his favorite team ever!! The game wasn't until March 31st so we had some time to wait! When the week of the game came we were pretty excited to go on a mini vacation to San Antonio!!

Tony made sure we were extra early to the game! We were so early we couldn't go to our seats for about 45 minutes!

My mom came along on this trip and was nice enough to watch Kaede so we could enjoy the game without having to chase Kaede all over the place!

We had amazing seats and decided we were going to try and make the Spurs/Celtics game every year from here on out!

The next day we made a trip to the zoo! We had gone during Thanksgiving, but now that Kaede is a little older he enjoyed the animals A LOT more!

He was so excited to sit by the fish that I got a cheesy smile out of him :)

Last time we visited the zoo we didn't go in the bird area, I thought Kaede would enjoy it. Kaede loved being up close to the birds....until it pecked at him and then it was all over!

We have a blast every time we go up to San Antonio!! Hopefully we will be back again soon!

St. Patrick's Day

Kaede's playgroup got together this year at Falcon Park to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Kaede's new found love at the park is the slide!! I made shamrock Rice Krispy treats for everyone!!
Knox, Jayden and Kaede came over one day to make the routine holiday shirts with hand/footprints. Hobby Lobby only had black shirts and since we needed to incorporate green we used felt and painted onto the felt.

So I took on the task of sewing everything onto the shirt, which turned out to be fun!!

The "Duck" Park

I have known about this park since before Kaede was born but always forgot about it! Jennie and I took Kaede one evening! I don't think he coulda had more fun!! Instead of throwing the bread to the ducks he decided to throw it at the ducks to get their attention! Nevertheless, he had an absolute blast! All the black dots in the water are little turtle heads popping up! There were at least a thousand turtles in the pond!!

Tipsy Canvas

Mom's night out this month was at a place called Tipsy Canvas. At Tipsy Canvas you bring your own food and drinks (non-alcoholic or alcoholic) and an instructor teaches the group how paint a painting that the group picked. It was a lot of fun and to my surprise the final product looked like an actualy painting!!

Stroller Strides Family Day!!

I joined a workout group call Stroller Strides a few months back. Its a great group of moms who work out every morning with their babies!! Kaede loves being in his stroller and he enjoys watching everything that goes on! AND it's a great workout for me!

(This is a normal Friday at the bayfront) But... Once a year on a Saturday their is Family Day where the dads join us and see what Stroller Strides is really all about! The dads got no slack and were sweating within the first five minutes!

Tony was a trooper and we all ended up having a blast! After the intense workout was over everyone stayed for hotdogs and played at the park, I bet you can guess where Tony and Kaede stayed...the basketball court!! Kaede and his buddy Jayden love balls and had a blast playing basketball!

Valentine's Day

A week or so before Valentine's Day I hosted a playdate at our apartment for us to make Valentine's Day shirts out of footprints! It was a great turn out and the shirts looked great!
The day before Valentine's Day I took Kaede to a park a attempted to get some good pictures! I picked up some balloons on the way and definately didn't realize his balloon obsessin would then begin! I ended up having to tie the balloons to a tree and distract him for a bit. It didn't last too long until he found them!

We had a Valetine's Day party playdate so Kaede and I made cupcakes and put them in these neat little boxes!

Kaede had a blast at the Valetine's Day party!

...And even got a balloon to take home!!
