Livestock Show

This year I took Kaede to the Livestock show so he could see various farm animals. He had a lot of fun looking around and walking around and enjoyed pointing to them all! A little boy had his bunny out and let Kaede pet it! It was so soft!! ...However.......
He wasn't so fond of petting the chickens!

After we saw all the animals Kaede got to ride a pony! He did a great job of holding on the saddle but was determined to stand up!

All in all he had a great time and saw animals up close that he normally wouldn't see!

Kaede's Birthday Party

I am working on a post for Kaede's 1st Birthday party but I have to sort thru all of the pictures! I will post soon! My goal is to stay caught up this year so I'm not doing 5 posts or more in one day and months behind!!!

New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve Kaede and I headed over to Jennie's house and Tony met us when he got off work. We were so glad to be able to spend New Year's Eve with such great friends and family to bring in the new year!
Kaede knows exactly where Grandpop lives from Jennie's house and headed down the sidewalk a few houses down to beat on his door after he had gone to bed! Kaede was up until almost 3 am on New Years! Holy cow he had so much energy!

Christmas 2010

Christmas morning we woke up and Santa had came to visit us at the apartment!
After his birthday he was a pro at unwrapping presents!

After we opened presents we headed over to the Halfpenny block and had Mimosa's with our friends and family.

Then we headed a few houses down to give Grandpop and Dahlia their Christmas gifts!

Kaede even had Grandpop down on the floor playing with his new blocks that Grandpop and Dahlia gave him!

Christmas Eve 2010

We started off Christmas Eve by having lunch with our my mom and Tonys mom. Since everyone had to work on Kaede's birthday no one got to really sing Happy Birthday to him, so I baked a cake and took it with us to Texas Road House. They saw we had a cake and brought the birthday saddle over for Kaede to sit on and sang to him! After lunch we met up with Tonys dad and Dahlia and headed to Taft where Dahlia's family opened their arms to Tony, Kaede and I. It was a lot of fun with a huge family!

Santa even stopped by to deliver a few gifts to the kids!

Kaede even got an early gift from Santa.
Grandpop loved showing Kaede how the drum worked (which he is now a pro at beating and singing to the beat!)

All in all it was a great Christmas Eve with my family!

Kaede's 1st Birthday!

Although Kaede's birthday is December 22, we decided it would be best to wait and have his birthday party in the new year after the holidays! So January 8, 2011 we had Kaede's 1st Birthday party!

Birthday Boy - December 22

I got Kaede some birthday balloons and he wasn't quite sure of them. Once he figured out he could play with them he liked them a lot more! Birthday Boy

Tony ended up having to work on Kaede's birthday and it was in the middle of the week (Dec. 22) so Jennie and I took him to the park and later in the evening on a walk to see Christmas lights.

Kaede really enjoyed all the Christmas lights and different things to look at.

.....and then he discovered he could have more fun playing with the wagon!

I like using letters to spell things out (like I did with Kaede and his name) so I decided to create my own "studio" with a black sheet in front of the closet and attempt to do his One year pictures...it went pretty well!

Santa Kaede!!!

While taking family pictures at the beach I had an idea to bring Kaede back to the beach with a Santa hat and one of his red cloth diapers! Although it took 2 trips to the beach I'm happy with the outcome!
