At only 3 days old you got to experience your first Christmas! You are the best Christmas gift Mommy & Daddy could ever ask for!

Almost Christmas...

When Mommy and Daddy found out they were going to have a baby they agreed that if it was a boy Mommy got to pick the name and if it was a girl Daddy got to pick the name....When they found out it was a boy Mommy had no clue what name to pick but ultimately wanted Daddy's help picking the name. After much thought she liked the name Cade but Daddy didn't want you to have a normal spelling name so we decided to spell your name Kaede...it is Japanese orientation and means Maple Leaf.

2 Weeks until due date!

1 Week past due date!

Your due date was December 13th but that date came and went and you were no where near ready to come visit the world! You were stretched out across Mommy's tummy so the doctor didn't think you were too big so he decided to let you stay in Mommy's tummy a little longer. Finally Dr. Duke decided that he was going to induce Mommy on December 22. The evening of the 21st Mommy, Daddy and Grammy went up the hospital and Mommy got started on Cervidil and the Petocin would begin in the morning! But little did we know the Petocin would not be necessary. The Cervidil did the trick and the middle of the night Mommy went from 0 centimeters to 7 centimeters in 2 hours. You finally decided you were ready to enter the world!! At 7:04 am on December 22, 2009 you came into the world at a whopping 9 pounds 5 ounces and 21.5 inches long!

Before Kaede!

Mommy and Daddy were extremely anxious to find out if you were going to be a boy or a girl! Two days after Mommy's 21st birthday Mom and Dad found out they were going to be blessed with a baby boy!

Before you were born there was much preperation to do! Daddy and Mommy moved into Grammy's house so you could have your very own room! Mommy picked the Jungle theme and it suits you perfectly since she calls you "Monkey". Aunt Jennie and Grammy painted your room light green since it was a bright yellow from when it was Mommy's bedroom! Grammy even refinished your floor so when you arrived your room would be perfect!


Aunt Jennie held a baby shower/dinner and all our friends from the Halfpenny block came to show their support of your arrival! You got many gifts including your spa bathtub, clothes, and toys!!



A few weeks later Megan held a babyshower and invtited all of Mommy's friends. You got lots of clothes, your stroller and carseat, and many other great items!
